The 3516C propulsion engine has outputs of 2240 and 2350 kW certified to U.S. EPA Tier 4 emissions, IMO II certified and IMO III compliant. The installation of these engines uses the latest Caterpillar-designed selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology to meet EPA and IMO emission levels, while minimising customer integration impacts and maximising operating efficiency. The design of the 3516C engine significantly improves backpressure capacity, making the Cat clean emission module the most compact and efficient SCR system. Designed specifically for marine applications, the Cat clean emission module provides versatile options for vessel integration, ease of maintenance and lowest cost of ownership.
